Instead of locking your game to one fixed character model, Crystal Character Creator Professional is built around a model-agnostic equipment pipeline . It is designed to work across character models from different sources, so hair, helmets, clothing, armor, shoes, gloves, and accessories can be registered as modular equipment and mapped onto the active character rig. The EquipmentManager is specifically designed to equip wearable content and map equipment rigs to the active character rig, with smart bone matching for different naming conventions and humanoid avatar role matching where available. This means your character library and outfit library become much more reusable. A character model from one asset pack can become part of the same customization ecosystem as armor, outfits, hair, accessories, and body variations from another pack. Professional adds: C# source files instead of DLL-only distribution. Expanded Equipment Fit Sculptor workflows. Standalone Mesh Sculptor / Rigging Workbench. Body Feature Archetype Mix. Face Archetype Mix. Face Feature Archetype Mix. Painted body and face feature masks. Guided Rigs. Auto Rig. Twist and jiggle helper bones. Weight painting and skinning tools. Mesh cutting, attach, stitch, weld, and seam stabilization. Body and seam diagnostics. Scene toolbar workflow shortcuts. FBX export toolbar shortcut. Compact fit save option. Crystal Save integration. Game Creator 2 integration. More advanced production repair and validation workflows. For RPGs, action games, visual novels, avatar systems, survival games, multiplayer games, and NPC generators, this opens a workflow where your Unity Asset Store character content can be turned into a shared, interchangeable wardrobe instead of a collection of isolated, incompatible prefabs. Professional is not only a runtime equipment system. It is an advanced Unity editor workflow for modular character equipment, mesh fitting, rigging, skinning, blendshapes, cutting, seam repair, diagnostics, and save-ready character customization . Unlike Crystal Character Creator Standard , which is distributed as a DLL, Crystal Character Creator Professional ships as C# source files . This makes it the better edition for studios and advanced developers who want to inspect the implementation, integrate deeper gameplay logic, customize editor tools, adapt UI behavior, or build project-specific extensions. Why Model-Agnostic Character Creation Matters Most character customization systems are built around one base body, one skeleton, and one compatible wardrobe. Crystal Character Creator Professional is designed for a broader production problem: Unity projects often use characters and equipment from many different asset packs. Professional helps turn those separate assets into a shared customization pipeline. Use it to: equip clothing, armor, helmets, hair, shoes, gloves, and accessories across compatible character rigs; convert full character or outfit prefabs into reusable equipment prefabs; map equipment bones to the player character with smart matching; fit gear to different body shapes; author body and equipment culling; synchronize compatible blendshapes between body and equipment; save and restore complete character appearances; repair model issues that become visible during procedural deformation. The system is built around the idea that equipment can come from many sources, but model quality still matters. Professional includes tools for detected character axes, selected-only seam stabilization, manual feature masks, weight cleanup, and diagnostics to make more third-party models usable inside Unity. RPG-Style Character Creator Workflow Inside Unity Crystal Character Creator Professional gives your project a runtime and editor workflow similar to a modern RPG character creator, without referencing or depending on any external character creation application. Players or developers can work with: body shape sliders; body feature sliders; face archetype sliders; face feature sliders; equipment selection; outfit fitting; colors and dyes; saved presets; thumbnails and preset galleries; gamepad-friendly UI navigation; runtime save/load integration. Professional adds Body Feature Archetype Mix, Face Archetype Mix, Face Feature Archetype Mix, painted body and face feature masks, standalone sculpting, guided rigs, auto-rigging, mesh cutting, seam stabilization, diagnostics, and other production tools beyond the Standard edition feature set.
