⚠️ Notice:
This is an editor only Asset. There is no runtime API.
If you get a "Can't remove X (Script) because Y (Script) depends on it" message then please uncheck the "Disable Custom Scripts in Preveiw" option in the settings (Tools > UI Preview > Open Settings).
Preview of Prefabs with ParticleSystems are not supported due to a Unity bug/limitation.
✍️ Use case
Having to double click the prefab and waiting for the Prefab Stage to open just to quickly check what the prefab looks like is cumbersome. This tool solves this problem by showing a preview of the prefab right where usually the preview for a 3D oject is displayed.
⚙️ Installation
Download the Asset and import it into your project.
You are done, no additional setup is needed.
⚒️ Usage
A new menu will be available under "Tools > UI Preview". Go check out the manual once the import is done.
Info: The settings file will be created under Assets/.

This asset requires one license per seat (user who has access to the asset files). If you are a team then please consider buying one seat per Unity user.
Why am I telling you this?
Because most people do not know. In fact any asset found under the Tools category falls under a license type collectively known as Extension Assets(see official license explanation) which differs from the standard (Entity) licenses.
